Connecting the social and built environment to health and health inequalities

Social Exposures & Biological Aging

Linking lived experience to biological processes of aging.

We examine how social experiences become biologically embedded, shaping the aging process and susceptibility to disease. The Biosocial Research Collaborative (BRC) is situated within SEH. The BRC brings together researchers studying the intersection of social and biological processes, supporting projects that integrate population-based data with biomarkers. Together, this work connects life course exposures to changes in biological systems central to aging and health.
